A small notice to my 15000+ followers in my earlier WordPress blog: I was using a free domain in WordPress of which the allowed space has been exceeded. Also the no. of followers which is permitted for a free domain has crossed it’s limit within just 25 days from its commencement! So I have no other option but to buy a custom domain of unlimited storage. Though I spend Rs 3200/ to purchase this domain, be happy to know this new website too will be always free for you people! I consider this website to as a small tribute to my society. This work gives me an immense mental satisfaction that I too can deliver some facilities to my nation, especially those who lacks proper Coaching and guidance due to monetary stigma. What you have to do is: you have to subscribe through your email ID again as the earlier Website will no longer be available.Be focused in your goal. Jay Hind!

Detailed Study Plan for IBPS PO IV

Today I will discuss the entire study plan for upcoming IBPS PO IV and other Bank exams. I qualified in IBPS PO III in my very first attempt and also got selection in the bank of my 1st preference. I obtained  several request for uploading the study plan for PO from the followers from few days, so I have decided to discuss the exam scheme, syllabus and way of study in detail for my fellow juniors.

At first, let’s check the official notification for IBPS PO IV.

and click here to apply online

Now, let’s come to our agenda. First observe the structure of Online Examination below from the official notification:

po

We will discuss step by step.

Step 1: Reasoning:

  • If you belong to Engineering/Management background it is expected that you are well acquainted with the basic general intelligence pattern, the topics. Well, for these kind of candidates, according to me, there is no need to practice R.S. Aggarwal type book thoroughly now as time is scarce. It’ll be better for you people to practice directly from any standard practice set for Bank PO. I practiced from BSC Publications 30 Practice sets.

Click here to view the book

Obviously though you are habituated with Reasoning basics, the high standard of PO level reasoning and the required speed will hinder your smooth pace while you will practice, but don’t get disheartened, it’ll improve rapidly.

  • Now let’s come to the greenhorn candidates who don’t know the fundamentals of Reasoning. For those people, I would recommend the Bible of Reasoning R.S. Aggarwal book as their first initiative.

Click here to view the book

Now, have a look on How to practice R.S. Aggarwal. You would need minimum 1 year if you aim to practice it completely. Some of its chapters are now obsolete for PO exam too.

Here is the table of Contents of the book. The selective chapters which you must practice for PO exam is highlighted in green.

Step 2: English Language

I would recommend the following book for those who needed the revision of Grammar, error detection etc

Click here to get the book!

You will be amazed to discover the awesome error detection and correction techniques in this BSC Publications book. Study the grammatical rules very minutely and religiously.

Next, come to Vocabulary. Though there is no limit of synonyms and antonyms and it’s impossible to mug up a whole dictionary, I found a marvelous book which will  teach you how to enhance your vocabulary scientifically.  It’s a mere 100 Rs buck and also Flipkart gives a decent discount 🙂

Click here to get the book!

There are around ~50 lessons. Fix a target to complete one lesson daily, you will be amazed to see how easily your vocabulary is increasing!

After finishing these two books, start practicing from the English section of the 30 Practice Sets for Bank PO book by BSC.

Step 3: Quantitative Aptitude

For greenhorn people, I would recommend another Bible book for rejuvenating their Class X level Math skill. Yes, you’re right. The Tyra Book! Practice every type of sums and try to grasp the time saving techniques from ‘Quicker Maths’ by M.Tyra.

Click here to get the book!

This book contains a huge no. of time saving techniques which are extremely useful for PO. But, I would suggest you from my experience that, don’t try to implement each and every trick, if you found some trick too zombie or complicated to remember, just leave it and do the sum in your conventional way. Also, keep revising by doing ample practice from the BSC Practice set.

Step 4: General Awareness (with special reference to Banking Industry):

Bank PO General Awareness section mainly comprises of 2 parts:

Banking Awareness- though I’ve not read any printed book for this, have solely relied upon websites and internet materials, i would recommend you to build the fundamental concept of Banking, Indian Banking structure etc from a standard book. You may follow:

Money Banking and Finance by BSC

OR

Banking Awareness by Arihant

Clear the concept from within and also browse the following sites for regular update:

Step 5: Computer Knowledge

Those who are not aware of the fundamental computer knowledge, study the following book:

Computer Knowledge by Arihant

Computer Literacy for Bank Exams by Kiran

P.S. Engineering/IT background candidates don’t need to buy this book, you can directly practice from the Practice sets.

Practice Test

Ok, we’re done with the section wise study plan, now let’s come to the over all practice. Make sure you have done sufficient practice for the 5 sections.

For enhancing speed and full test experience:

In search of the divine….

Man’s quest with God has continued since time unknown. Thus religion evolved trying to give a concrete shape to an otherwise abstract concept. All people at some point of time in their life have attempted to visualize God in a way most convenient and suitable to them. The easiest way an abstract energy could be converted to a concrete image was to give God human attributes both physical and mental. God thus took the human form with a few extra hands or eyes to make him different from mortal beings. He experienced the same complex human emotions of love, greed, anger ect. Thus for ages man tried to propitiate Gods giving gifts, presents and organizing elaborate rituals – little realizing that this quest for the divine is often a search for ones self.

The realm of existence occupied by God has been the target of most spiritualists and saints who by various means tried to bridge the gap which separated the mortal world from the spiritual. Through strict penance and meditation many found that which they referred to as ‘eternal knowledge’ ‘truth’ and ‘enlightenment’.

Almost all these people in their quest for the Divine found that divinity is not an isolated object which can be achieved externally but it is something which lies within.

All major religions of the world states that God lies within us. Thus according to Hindu customs when our feet accidentally touches someone we do a short ‘Pranam’ as a mark of respect for the Divine energy which resides within us. Our tradition therefore suggests that we give the highest respect to our fellow human beings, as God lies within each of us. We perceive God as omnipotent and all forgiving. Someone as generous, accommodating and benign as God surely cannot believe in concentration of all power in his own hands. So He distributed this power in such a way that each person He created got a bit of His attributes. The human mind thus became the habitat of God with the power to perform miracles.

I am often asked the question whether I have seen or experienced God. It becomes difficult to give an immediate answer. I see in front of me bright young faces, their impressionable minds waiting for an adequate explanation. It takes me back to an incident some years ago when my eight year old brother came home from school, very excited and dying to tell me that there is a boy named Kabir in his class who sits next to him. My brother had recently read about Kabir, the saint and thought that the Kabir in his class was one and the same! He exclaimed “Didivai, Can you believe it? I am actually sitting next to God!” His naive answer struck a chord in me. After all who is God? Someone who is a part of us and from among us. Saints and legendary figures whom we have given the status of God today like Rama, Krishna, Jesus, Prophet Mohammed, Buddha and others have all been people of flesh and blood later raised to a divine status because of their actions or Karma. The right Karma can raise us to a higher level of existence- an enlightened mind often equated with God.

So, now when people ask me whether I have seen God, I smile and answer in the affirmative. God is everywhere – within and without. We don’t need to look far since he may be the person sitting right next to us!
